of the world’s grey seal population.


March 12th Mike Storr – “Masters of Mirth – The Sequel”
An affectionate look at some more Music Hall laughter makers including
Joyce Grenfell, Stanley Holloway, Cyril Fletcher, Al Read to name but a few,
Examples of their acts including their famous monologues!!
His presentation looks at the characters, styles ,origin of music hall comedy and its development .

9th April 2026 – Roland Grant, The Falklands Conflict 1982 – “A Soldiers Experience”
A personal experience of a military man on the ground in the Falkland Islands which covers how we lived, fought and coped with the conflict.


14th May 2026 – Adrian Gray MA – “Scandals of the Lincolnshire Gentry”
Scandals of the Lincolnshire Gentry and aristocrats of Lincolnshire who have repeatedly proved that they are ‘no better than anyone else’ through a succession of scandals – greed, corruption, adultery and much else. This entertaining talk picks out a few of the more colourful incidents from across the county, featuring most of its best-known historic families.


11th June 2026 – Peter Rea “Our Place in the Universe”
Which also includes a short history of the Beacon Hill Observatory in Cleethorpes founded in 1969 and located at Beacon Hill Allotments.


9th July 20026 – Dr Julie Boundford “History and Hi Lights Louth Musuem”
Founded in 1910, Louth Museum is independently owned and operated by the charity, the Louth Naturalists’, Antiquarian and Literary Society, locally known as ‘Ants & Nats’. This illustrated talk will outline the story of the Museum, from its late Victorian origins to a modern attraction with, ‘always something new to notice’, and will feature the Museum’s notable attractions.


13th August 2026 Dr. Leah Warriner-Wood AFHEA – The Doddington Hall Tapestry
Senior Lecturer, Conservation of Cultural Heritage
A talk which examines tapestries aspart of the collecting and display strategies of theDelaval family at Doddington Hall, which after a long journey over five years the bedroom tapestries have been returned to their rightful place at Doddington Hall.

10th September 2026 – “Waste Services Lincolnshire County Council”
An illustrated presentation – A behind the scenes look at the workings of a Recycling Centre


8th October 2026 – Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance Service
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a service operated by the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charity. It is tasked by the East Midlands Ambulance Service to provide
a pre-hospital critical care helicopter emergency medical service


10th December 2026 – Fools Gold – Christmas Show
A Christmas Show with all the usual ingredients of a Fool’s Gold Show – the songs – performed live, the fascinating stories behind the songs, the images to bring it all to life – and of course, a big helping of Christmas!
You will know the songs – but you may not know the stories that hide behind them, and be warned, it is very hard NOT to join in!
