– Learning Together, the Friendly Way
We are a supportive beginners’ group who have been successfully learning Italian without a tutor, simply by helping one another. No prior knowledge is needed — just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn alongside others.
Our aim is to gently introduce ourselves to the Italian language using a wide range of self-help resources: books, CDs, television, radio, online tools and anything members find useful. The group thrives on mutual encouragement, sharing ideas and discovering the language together.
We meet every fortnight (1st and 3rd Thursday of the month) at 10am in a group member’s home. Sessions last around an hour and a half, with a short break for refreshments. The time between meetings offers a chance to practise new words and phrases at your own pace.
This friendly, established group is ideal for anyone who has already begun learning Italian and wants to continue building confidence.
